BANGKOK - BAN KRACHAO - THE GREEN LUNG OF BANGKOK - HALF DAY BY LOCAL TRANSPORT ON A PRIVATE BASIS

Day 1

Bang Krachao is also called the green lung of Bangkok. It is a protected area without tall buildings and a bit of nature just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. It is very pleasant and relaxing to ride a bicycle on the small concrete paths that pass through trees and bamboos.

Bang Krachao is also called the green lung of Bangkok. It is a protected area without tall buildings and a bit of nature just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. It is very pleasant and relaxing to ride a bicycle on the small concrete paths that pass through trees and bamboos. Bangkokians come here in numbers on the weekends and rent bikes, the best way to visit Bang Krachao. I also recommend that you come here on Saturday or Sunday to enjoy the cute Bang Nam Phueng floating market. A good place to have lunch. In Bang Krachao, you won't be completely lost in nature, but if you go to the small concrete elevated roads, it will definitely be a big change from the city of Bangkok! But be careful, these small streets can quickly become a maze where you may have some difficulty locating yourself. There are at least 3 things to do during your visit to Bang Krachao: bike nature walks on the small concrete paths, go to the Bang Nam Phueng floating market and relax in Sri Nakhorn Kuan Khan Park. You will also have the opportunity to see a beautiful statue of Ganesha

The tiny Island of Koh Tao ("Turtle Island"), 45 km north of Koh Phangan, is one of the top scuba diving destinations in Thailand. Whats more, the island, which is the site of important breeding grounds for Hawksbill and Green turtles, is now a centre for environmentally friendly diving practices, including the reintroduction of hundreds of juvenile turtles to the island's ecosystem and efforts to preserve and grow coral reefs.

Once a Destination almost exclusively for scuba divers and those looking to get away from it all, Koh Tao is now also a destination for wild 20-somethings to warm up before or unwind after neighbouring Koh Phangans Full Moon Party. Fortunately, despite its quite small size, most of the Beaches around Koh Tao have retained a charming, laid back atmosphere and bungalows ranging from ultra-basic thatch roof to chic and boutique are available for those on any budget to enjoy the beauty of one of Thailands most spectacular Islands.

Non-divers can appreciate the beauty of Koh Tao, which seems relatively devoid of inhabitants while the majority of visitors are spending their days underwater, by taking a Boat Trip around the Island to visit Koh Taos many gorgeous Beaches and bays, hiking to the summit of the island, studying yoga, or simply relaxing in a hammock and enjoying the view of nearby Koh Nang Yuan, a spectacular attraction in its own right.

Ko Chang island, known also as Elephant Island named because of its elephant shaped headland, is Thailands third largest island after Phuket and Samui. It is located around 300 kilometres east of Bangkok in Trat Province, in the Gulf of Thailand near the Cambodian border.

From jungle covered mountain peaks to sweeping bays, great waterfalls to flourishing coral reefs, beach huts to luxury resorts, Koh Chang has plenty to offer for everyone.Ko Chang is part of the Mu Ko Chang National Park. Despite its increase in development and tourism in the past decade or so, it has retained its remote and rugged character.

With an area covering approximately 212 square kilometres, 70% of Koh Chang is covered in rainforests, mountains and beaches. The highest peak on the island is Khao Salak Phet, rising from the ground at 743 meters, and given its mountainous terrain there is an abundance of waterfalls with the tallest but not always the most accessible being Klong Neung waterfall, which can be found in thesouth-eastern corner of the island.
