CHIANG RAI CITY TOUR WHITE TEMPLE, BLUE TEMPLE, WAT PHRA KAEO - HALF DAY
Departure from Chiang Rai City Hotel
Day 1
At 08:30, meeting with the guide, visit the famous Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Seua Ten located a few kilometers from Chiang Rai. It is a recent temple which is still under construction, although its main hall is now completed. It is above all its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha that marks the spirits.
The Blue Temple of Chiang Rai is still little known among tourists for now, because it was completed very recently.
Then we will start the path that takes us to Chiang Mai, during which a visit to the White Temple or Wat Rong Khun will not be missed. One of the many religious places in Chiang Rai. With exceptional quality in art and extremely elaborate architecture, the hall dedicated to the assemblies of Wat Rong Khun is unlike any other temple in terms of having both the apexes of the carved pediment and the tooth-shaped crests. The hall itself is mostly built in pure white, illustrative of the Buddha's purity. The sparkling clear mirror glass serves as the wisdom of the Awakened who shines on earth and the universe.
This half day visits of Chang Rai’s Highlight includes the Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Phra Kaeo on Trairat Road is one of the most renowned temples of Chiang Rai as it was where the sacred Emerald Buddha had been enshrined since 1444 before it's been relocated to Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok, with few stops at Lampang and Vientiane. Wat Phra Kaeo now enshrines an official replica of the Emerald Buddha made of green jade. The temple also houses a 700-years bronze statue of Phra Chao Lan Thong in the Chiang Saen style ubosot you hardly find elsewhere

Why Thai Akha?
Why cooking with Us?
The Akha people immigrated and became citizens of Thailand in the early 1900s through China, Laos and Myanmar.
There are now 80,000 Akha people living in small villages in the mountains of Thailand. Akha people have their own traditions, culture and beliefs, different from the rest of Thailand, as many hill tribes do.
Thai Akha Kitchen is run by Akha people who were born and raised in Thailand.
We love Thai food just as much as you
