BANGKOK - AYUTTHAYA - SUKHOTHAI. Bang Pa In, Ayutthaya Historical Park, Sukhothai Historical Park (L.)

At 07:00, meeting with the guide and departure for the discovery of the ancient capital of Thailand.

Bang Pa In is reached with a short journey of about 60 kilometers (40 miles) north of Bangkok, along the banks of the Chaopraya River, Bang Pa In is one of the summer palaces of the Royal Family of Thailand. The palace dates back to the seventeenth century, before the settlement of Bangkok as the capital, which then fell into disuse for a long period. All the buildings you will visit date back to its rebirth, made possible by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in the nineteenth century.

We proceed with the Ayutthaya Historical Park, the city was founded in the year 1350 Ca. and became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai.

It flourished from the 14th to the 18th centuries, during which it became one of the largest and most cosmopolitan urban areas in the world and a center of diplomacy and global trade. Ayutthaya was strategically located on an island surrounded by three rivers that connected the city to the sea. This site was chosen because it was above the Gulf of Siam tide as it existed in that period, thus preventing the attack of the city by maritime warships from other nations

13: 00-13: 30 LUNCH FOR LUNCH

In the afternoon we arrive at Sukhothai Historical Park. The park is open daily and also offers tram service as well as bicycles for rent to explore the vast area. Main places of interest are: The city walls are located in the center of the historic park and are surrounded by ramparts. The rectangular city measures 1330 meters in width and 1800 meters in length. The walls contain four main gates. An inscription on the stone mentions that King Ramkhamhaeng placed a bell on one of the gates. If his subjects had needed help, they could have rang the bell and the King would have gone out to make decisions on disputes and to dispense justice. Inside the city there are 35 monuments including Buddhist temples and many other structures, including The Royal Palace and Wat Mahathat. Arrival at the hotel in Sukhothai at around 17:30. Overnight

Day 2

The next stop will be at Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaew, the richly decorated temple is located on the top of a hill with a splendid view of the surrounding mountainous area. The main pagoda is adorned with several million very colorful mosaic tiles. A large platform next to the pagoda carries five Buddha images surrounded by lotus flowers. Wat Phra Sorn Kaew is a center for Buddhist teachings and meditation, a peaceful place surrounded by nature. The temple which was founded in 2004 was recently completed and is open to visitors.

We then continue to the Khao Kho national park, it includes various small and large mountains of the Phetchabun chain.

Due to the cold temperature all year round and its freshness in winter with beautiful scenery, it is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Phetchabun.

Khao Kho includes complex mountain ranges. Its peak is 1,174 meters above sea level. Khao Ya is located at 1,290 meters, while Khao Yai is at 865 meters. In addition, there are Khao Takhian Ngo, Khao Hin Tang Bat, Khao Huai Sai and Khao Um Phae. Forests in this area are deciduous dipterocarp forests, pine forests and evergreen forests. The interesting point are the plants of the Palmae family that look like the Asian Palmyra palm, but bear fruit in clusters like betel nuts. Although a large area of forests has already been cut down now, some are still to be seen.

The overnight stay is scheduled in the national park area.

Khao Yai is arguably the best national park in Thailand where it is relatively easy to see the number of interesting animals.
Founded in 1962 as Thailand's first national park, it is the third largest national park in the country. Located mainly in the Nakhon Ratchasima province, Khao Yai extends into the provinces of Prachinburi, Saraburi and Nakhon Nayok. The Khao Yai checkpoint is only 2.5 hours from Bangkok.
The park covers an area of 2,168 square kilometers, including rainforests / evergreens and grasslands. With 1,351 m high Khao Rom is the highest mountain in the park. The average altitude of the national park varies from 400 to 1000 m above sea level.
Khao Yai is part of the Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai forest complex, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which covers 5 areas protected by Khao Yai on the Cambodian border. The other protected areas are; Pang Sida National Park, Thap Lan National Park, Ta Phraya National Park and Dong Yai Nature Reserve.
nature
Some mammals that can be seen include elephants, macaques, deer, gibbon, porcupine, civet. Other relatively common, but not easy to meet mammals are bears, gaur, otters, dhole, jackals, for some time there have been no signs of tiger activity in the park, but photo traps have revealed a significant population of tigers in nearby Thap Lan and Pang Sida National Park. There is only one Siamese crocodile in the national park and it can be seen in the same position along one of the trails. According to guides operating in the park, the crocodile has been released by park staff in the past.
The national park is home to around 300 residents and migratory birds and has one of the largest hornbill populations in Thailand. Many land birds such as silver pheasants, wild jungle, green-legged partridges and Siamese water fires are common on roads and paths. The best time to visit Khao Yai for bird watching is during the dry months and during March April when bird migration occurs.
Khao Yai is also a good destination for reptile watching. The best time is around March-April, but with good activity until October, during the cold seasons it takes a little more effort to locate them. Reticulated python, Ahaetulla prasina, Chinese ratsnake, Chinese water dragon, water monitor and crested lizards are just some of the many species that can be found in the park. Return to the hotel at about 4:00 pm
In the evening, return to the park in search of wild animals, with return scheduled around 9:00 pm.

KHAO YAI - BANGKOK Stop at the GranMonte Vineyard. Lunch Included

Breakfast at the hotel.

Meeting with the Guide at around 10:00.

Stop at the Grand Monte vineyard with a visit to the property. Lunch with tasting at the vineyard.

Very interesting to learn the techniques of wine production in subtropical areas, therefore very different from the ones we are used to seeing in Italy.

GranMonte is uniquely located in the Asoke Valley, Khao Yai and is located adjacent to Khao Yai National Park, about 160 kilometers from Bangkok. Asoke Valley is known in Thailand for its beautiful special yellow flowers for the Khao Yai region. The serene atmosphere and the beautiful natural surroundings of Asoke Valley offer the ideal environment for the GranMonte estate. The grandeur of the Khao Yai mountain ranges inspired the name "GranMonte".

After lunch, transfer to Bangkok, with arrival expected around 16: 00-16: 30. In case of transfer to the airport, plan to fly after 18:30.

KOH PHANGAN - WELCOME PACKAGE

AVAILABLE FROM MONDAY 1ST JANUARY 2024 TO WEDNESDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2025

Unlimited Seats

ko Pha-ngan is one of the most famous islands in the world. It is well known for the Full Moon Party held every full moon at the beach of Hat Rin. A large number of tourists from all over the world visit the island, especially in the summer. Apart from beautiful beaches and amazing blue water, you can explore the natural beauty of numerous natural attractions such as waterfalls and mountains and discover the local lifestyle of coconut farmers and fishermen in the village of Ban Chalok Lam. As the island offers visitors all types of tourist attractions, it is a must-visit destination for both Thai and foreign tourists. Ko Pha-ngan is located approximately 100 kilometres from Surat Thani City. It has a total area of 168 square kilometres. The island, together with the island of Ko Tao, is part of Ko Pha-ngan District, which is the smallest district of Surat Thani Province. The island is dominated by mountainous terrain and has beaches, sand dunes and coral reefs. In the middle of the island are mountains running north-south. Plains cover only one-fourth of the total area and are mostly found on the west side of the island. On the east side of the island lie coastal mountains. Besides, the island has several bays where boats can dock in some seasons. Furthermore, the monsoon season of the island begins in October and lasts till January. Tourists are not recommended to pay a visit to the island during this time. Ko Pha-ngan has been inhabited by human for a long time. It is assumed that the first settlers on the island are the Malays from Nakhon Si Thammarat or from Pattani who immigrated to the island and were mostly fishermen. The evidence of this assumption is the names of some places on the island. For example, according to a former Ko Samii District Chief Officer, Ko Pha-ngan was formerly known as "Ko Raham", literally meaning the shadowy island. In addition, the names of some other nearby islands such as Ko Wua Ta Lap and Ko Lao Yu are originally from the Malay language. Furthermore, there is another story of the origin of Ko Pha-ngan's name. It is believed that the name is derived from "Lang Ngan", a local word used to refer to sand dunes that emerge from the sea when the tide is low. Moreover, the first syllable of the word Pha-ngan in Thai was originally spelt without Sara-Ah, the short Ah vowel. However, after when Ko Pha-ngan was made a minor district or King Amphoe in 1970 and later a district in 1977, the Thai government decided to officially include Sara-Ah within the name. As a consequence, the island's Thai name has two variations, i.e. one with Sara-Ah and one without Sara-Ah. Furthermore, the island was visited by four kings of the Chakri Dynasty, namely King Chulalongkorn, King Vajiravudh, King Prajadhipok and King Bhumibol. All inscribed their name on a rock near Than Sadet Waterfall, to which, interestingly, King Chulalongkorn paid a visit 14 times. Aside from the famous Full Moon Party, the island has a good reputation for snorkelling and diving. Visitors can go snorkelling to explore the natural beauty of coral reefs around the island. As an alternative, you can get on a boat which will take you to amazing dive sites near the island. The most popular sites are "Hin Bai" and "Samran", where different kinds of colourful corals lie, waiting for divers to discover its beauty. Also, these sites are home to a variety of fascinating sea animals, e.g. clownfish, harlequin shrimps and parrotfish. Besides, a one day trip to Ko Tao, which also possesses several perfect dive sites, is available. Ko Pha-ngan's major attractions: 1.Thong Sala 2.Hat Rin 3.Ao Thong Nai Pan 4.Hat Mae Hat 5.Than Sadet Waterfall National Park How to get to the island: From Surat Thani City, drive or take public transport to a ferry pier in Don Sak. A ferry ride from the mainland to the island takes three hours and a half. In addition, during peak season (December-April), those who wish to visit the island are recommended to book a flight at least one to two days before travelling. Tips for tourists: 1.You are not recommended to rent a motorbike if you are not familiar with roads on the island. Some roads are steep and some are unpaved with holes. Riders should ride carefully; otherwise it is better to rent other types of vehicles. 2.At the Full Moon Party, beware of pickpockets and snatchers. There will be lots of people at the party so take care of your belongings, especially, cameras, phones and purses or wallets. Besides, don't drink too much, particularly if you have to ride a motorbike or drive back to your hotel. 3.For those who would like to visit Khao Ra Peak, be ready for the adventure and don't forget to prepare your own medicines, food, bottles of water, sleeping bag and proper clothes. Also, to go to Khao Ra, all visitors must be accompanied by staff.
