Day 2
MONDAY - Bangkok Maeklong Railway, Damnoen Saduak, Lunch, Royal Palace, Wat Pho (B.L.)
Breakfast at the hotel. At 06:30-07:00, meet the guide and depart for a full-day tour of some of the main attractions of this metropolis and its surroundings.
We head to the nearby provinces of Song Khram and Ratchaburi, about 100 km from Bangkok. The day begins with a visit to the Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market), commonly known as the “Risky Market” (Siang Tai Market). It is considered one of the most fascinating attractions in Thailand. Spanning a length of 100 meters, the market is located on the railway tracks near the Mae Klong train station.
The tour continues to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. After arriving at the pier, we will take a long-tail boat through the canals, reaching the floating market in about 30 minutes.
The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Ratchaburi is one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand. Every day, many Thai and international tourists visit to shop, eat, and experience the unique atmosphere of Thailand's water markets, built over a hundred years ago.
At approximately 11:00, we return to Bangkok, stopping at a local restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, the tour continues with a visit to the Royal Palace, founded in 1782. The palace includes not only royal and throne halls but also numerous government offices and the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It spans an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by four walls, 1,900 meters long.
Next, we visit the adjacent Wat Pho, one of the most visited Buddhist temples in Bangkok. It combines history, medical science, and educational purposes. Wat Pho was founded in the 16th century and later became the Royal Temple of King Rama I of the Chakri dynasty. In 2008, Wat Pho was listed as a UNESCO Memory of the World (MOW) for Asia and the Pacific.
Return to the hotel is expected between 17:00 and 17:30.
