Day 1

Arrival in Hanoi, immigration procedures, and transfer to the hotel (Check-in time: 14.00 – Early check-in available with supplement). Hanoi, the political capital of Vietnam, means in Vietnamese "beyond the river," nestled along the banks of the Red River and inhabited by about one million people. An imperial capital since 1010 and during the Le dynasty from 1428 to 1788, it resumed its role in French Indochina during the colonial period from 1902 to 1953, to become the political capital of the country after reunification in 1976. In the afternoon, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 to represent the purity of the lotus flower; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (the esplanade), the Temple of Literature, an ancient university built in 1070 in honor of Confucius, the Quan Than Temple, the Returned Sword Lake, surrounded by ancient trees. Overnight at the hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In case of arrival at Hanoi airport after 1 pm / 1:30 pm, visits on the 1st day will be limited or not feasible, so if possible, consider a pre-night with a supplement upon request (depending on the chosen category).

Day 2

2nd day: HANOI – HALONG [B/L/D] Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, departure for Halong Bay, known as the eighth wonder of the world, with seafood lunch on board. The bay, dotted with karst rocks, has undergone the work of erosion by wind and water over millennia, creating a surreal environment of islands, islets, and cliffs, some of which are hundreds of meters high. Some islands have also formed an internal lake, accessible through a passage that disappears completely during high tide, while others feature caves and formations of the strangest shapes. During the transitional seasons, the morning mist creates even more suggestive effects, making islands and rocks appear and disappear in the distance. According to legend, the hundreds of islets would be the remains of the tail of a dragon submerged in the bay's waters. Visit to a cave. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3

3rd day: HALONG – HAIPHONG or HANOI – DANANG – HOI AN [B/BR] Breakfast on board,

continuation of the cruise in the bay. In the late morning, return to the port and departure to Haiphong airport, with some stops along the way. Brunch on board. Tour of Hai Phong to visit the Hai Phong Museum, a splendid colonial building that focuses on the city's history. Some exhibitions are translated into English, and the museum garden hosts a vast collection of war relics. Continuing to the Du Hang Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist monument located about 1 km from the city center. The Du Hang Pagoda was built in 900 A.D. by the king of the Tien Le dynasty, Le Dai Hanh. Transfer to the airport, boarding procedures, and departure by flight to Danang. Arrival in Danang, meeting with our guide and transfer to Hoi An for the night. Along the way (about 30 minutes), the guide will have the opportunity for a brief introduction to the history of Central Vietnam, as well as provide useful information for your stay. Dinner on your own. Overnight at a hotel in Hoi An.

Day 4

4th day: HOI AN – MY SON [B/L] Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning dedicated to the visit of the sacred site of My Son, with remains of temples from the Champa kingdom. Lunch during the excursion. Return to Hoi An for a city tour. Hoi An, rich in buildings with Chinese architectural influence, testifying to its important past as a trading center. Known to the ancients as Faifo. Hoi An was a bustling commercial port since the 2nd century A.D., under the Champa kingdom. Declined in the 14th century, it resumed its function as an international emporium in the mid-15th century. It was only in the 19th century, with the silting of the Cai River, that the city lost importance in favor of Danang, which is 30 km to the north. Visit to the old town with the Japanese Bridge from 1592, the temple dedicated to the goddess Fukie, the old communal houses. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

5th day: HOI AN – HUE [B/L] Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning departure to the city of Hue with an intermediate stop for the visit to the Cham Museum. The city lies along the banks of the Perfume River and was founded in 1687 under the name of Phu Xuan, becoming the capital of the southern part of Vietnam in 1744. It was again the capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 under the reign of the 13 emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. In 1802, Emperor Nguyen An made it the capital of the entire country, renaming it Hue. The Old City, with the Citadel and the Imperial Residence, stands on the left bank of the river, while the New City (where the Europeans once resided) and the imperial tombs stand on the right bank. Visit to the imperial tomb of Minh Mang, continuation to the Thien Mu Pagoda overlooking the Perfume River and visit to the imperial citadel, now restored with the help of UNESCO. Lunch in a restaurant with a cooking class. At the end of the visits, accommodation in a hotel and overnight stay. Dinner on your own.

Day 6

6th day: HUE - HO CHI MINH CITY [B/L] Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer in due time to the airport, flight to Saigon, and start of visits to Saigon, a vibrant city but also rich in testimonies of the past: Notre Dame Cathedral (visiting from outside under renovation) dating back to 1877, the Post Office, the Binh Tay Market, the Cho Lon district, and the Thien Hau Pagoda. Lunch in a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7

7th day: HO CHI MINH CITY - MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY [B/L] Breakfast at the hotel.

Welcome and departure to Ben Tre for the visit of the Mekong Delta. Arrival at Phong Nam port where a boat trip along the Chet Say River will begin, where you will have the opportunity to come into contact with the daily life of the people living in the Delta. The river is used as a natural route for transporting goods, and many activities arise on the banks such as coconut processing plants, brick kilns, and other commercial activities. The navigation continues to the Cai Son canal where you can refresh yourself with coconut water. Visit to the coconut candy oven where you can taste hot candies just produced, seasonal fruits, or typical honey tea. Visit to the village of Nhon Thanh famous for the production of typical Vietnamese mats and for those who wish, they can reach the local restaurant for lunch by bicycle along the village streets. After lunch, return to the boat and resume navigation to Ben Tre. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight at the hotel.
