Along the way, you will have a short visit to the local wet market. At 08.30am, begin the walk at the starting point which is the hidden Mekori Temple in Belimbing village. This temple is surrounded by forest, and the spiritual atmosphere is felt as soon as you enter the temple complex. Walk through rice fields, coffee plantations, jungle and bamboo forest. Pass over hills and valleys and traverse streams and bamboo bridges. All the while keeping a lookout for butterflies, insects, birds and animals. Learn about local life, farming methods and the “subak” irrigation system that is used to water the fields. Afterwards at 10.00am, continue to Vihara Dharma Giri, a beautiful Buddhist temple in the village of Pupuan in Tabanan (it takes around 1-hour drive to the Vihara), West Bali. The temple is known for its large, white sleeping Buddha statue. It's among the top attractions of Pupuan, despite the village usually being popular for its expanses of rice fields. Proceed to the local restaurant at 12.00pm and will arrive at 1.00pm. After lunch at 2.30pm, proceed to Munduk (45 min by car) for overnight.
