DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK
Located in Chiang Mai province, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, with a height of 2,565 meters above sea level. Doi Inthanon National Park has many surprising variations in its lush geography and forest. It is home to the rainforest, mixed forest and pine forest. The climate is cool throughout the year, especially in the cold season, when there will be an almost constant coverage of the fog throughout the day and an extraordinary phenomenon of Mae Kha Ning (frost) in the early morning.
The main attractions of the park are the summit of Doi Inthanon for its spectacular early morning views, several waterfalls, a few paths and the two chedis (stupas) dedicated to the king and queen of sixtieth birthday anniversaries. Most of the waterfalls within the park have a relatively good flow of water all year round, but the best season is during the rainy season from May to November. One of the park's seasonal attractions is the flowering of Thai sakura trees that turn trees pink during the end of January and February. The park is also one of the main destinations in the country for bird lovers.
MAE HONG SON
On the border with Burma, in northern Thailand, lies the idyllic town of Mae Hong Son. Mountains and some of Thailand's highest waterfalls surround the city.
The easiest way to get here from Bangkok is to travel by bus or plane. Many passengers arrive from Chang Mai.
The climate varies from very hot in summer, it can safely drop to zero degrees in winter. Statistically April is the hottest month, while January is the best time to visit it.
The population of the province has long lived isolated from the outside world and are composed of an ethnic variety.
Mae Hong Son has a couple of nicknames: "The land of the three mists" and "The Switzerland of Thailand". Both are appreciated, but the second best is immersed in the scenery of this romantic refuge hidden on the border with Burma.
Mae Hong Son is one of the most wooded provinces in the nation, attractive for those who love cooler weather and slightly more mountainous terrain. It is one of the few places in the country that can reach 0 degrees Celsius on cold evenings, so it is advisable to be armed with some warmer clothing during November-January. Cooler temperatures are one of the reasons for the mists, which appear throughout the year, most often in the early morning.

The temple houses a large Buddha statue with a round width of 4.85 meters prepared by Burmese craftsmen. Another statue is a replica of the Buddha image in Wat Suthat in Bangkok.Wat

CHONG KLANG

Wat Chong Klang, next to Wat Chong Kham, is a temple where a replica of the Phra Phuttha Sihing is located on the altar. There are several interesting wooden objects

depicting humans and animals described in the Phra Vejsandon Jakata (pronounced Cha-dok which means one of the strange stories of former incarnations of the Buddha) created by

Burmese craftsmen and brought here in 1857, the paintings on the glass cover the Jakata and Prince Siddhartha, as well as also represent the lifestyles of the time.

Captions are in Burmese. There are also notations that the paintings were by Mandalay Thai Yai craftsmen

WAT PRATAT DOI KONG MU

Wat Phrathat Doi Kong Mu erected by the first governor of Mae Hong Son, this temple reflects the strong influence of the Burmese. The highlights of this attraction are the two richly decorated pagodas. Additionally, this hill-top temple offers an exceptional aerial view of the city and surrounding mountains and valleys.

THAM PLA - PHA SUEA NATIONAL PARK

Tham Pla (Fish Caves) is located about 17 kilometers from the city on Highway No. 1095 (Mae Hong Son-Pai), the Tham Pla is a popular attraction by Mae Hong Son. The surrounding areas are streams and cool hilly forests suitable for relaxation. A special feature is the cava cave full of numerous known freshwater fish like Pla Mung or Pla Khang, which is from the same carp family. The fish, being considered sacred, are safe from being caught.

THAM LOT

Tham Lot is a huge cave system, once home to prehistoric men. Archaeologists discovered ancient clay pottery and a number of carved wooden coffins inside of the "rooms" of the cave. Tham Lot is located approximately 77 kilometers from the city. Here nature has created an exotic underground wonder of darkness and mystery. A stream flows from the mouth of the cave to the other side of the mountain.

It is a path where visitors can raft or walk, which allows you to explore the about one-kilometer long cave full of stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 3

PAI - CHIANG MAI. Santichon Village, Tha Pai Hot Spring, Pai Canyon, Mae Malai local market. (B.L.)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 08:00, meeting with the guide and departure for Chiang Mai. Along the way, stop to visit Santichon Village, in Chinese Style, the Tha Pai hot spring, Pai canyon, and the local market of Mae Malai. Lunch is served in a local restaurant. Arrival in Chiang Mai in the evening. Check in at the hotel. Overnight

SANTICHON VILLAGE

The village of Santichon or the Chinese cultural center of Yunnan was colonized by Chinese people who fled the Chinese revolution of Mao Tse Tung. After all these years, the descendants who still live here, adhering to traditional ways, have managed to profit from Pai's economic recovery. The village of Santichon has a population of 2000 mixed souls from Yunnan ethnic groups, ethnic populations from the Thai hills and former soldiers of the Chinese kuomintarn. Once opium was still the cornerstone of the village and old Chinese soldiers roamed the streets in their old republican uniforms, with automatic rifles in hand. Today it has become a popular center for Thai tourists, with a large tea tasting area, which has replaced opium as the main crop, and offers a souvenir market at the entrance of the village.

THA PAI HOTSPRING

The Tha Pai thermal spring is located near the city of Pai. At the Tha Pai hot springs, the water has an average temperature of 80 degrees Celsius, and offers excellent views especially in the morning, when the gentle sun creates a rich tapestry of shadows as it shines through the vapors from the hot spring.

There are several pools of different heat levels, each of which is less warm than the previous one.

This place has swimming pools that are about half a meter deep, you can easily dive and relax, especially after a cool trip through the mountain roads.

The serene jungles, with their colorful plumage birds, offer you the ideal backdrop for a relaxing moment in the sun. The stones inside the hot springs are quite slippery, so it is really recommended to wear non-slip sandals.

Visitors enjoy making hard boiled eggs in the hot spring. Please read the signs, if eggs are boiling, one of the pools feeds the houses of local villagers. inside the complex, toilets, showers and restaurants are available.

PAI CANYON

Pai Canyon, known locally as Kong Lan, is described in some tourist brochures as Thailand's response to the Grand Canyon. The geological and topographical characteristics of the Canyon are quite surprising. This unique geographical area was formed by continuous erosion for decades until it reached the current conditions. The protrusions and the narrow carved slabs that survived the erosive actions of the elements have steep cliffs of 30 meters precipice and a series of narrow passages cut on the crests of gigantic rocky walls that wind through the densely wooded valley.

The view up there is majestically beautiful and the view impressive; you wouldn't expect such a nature behind the hills. The landscape is quite original, the panoramic area offers a fantastic 360 ° panorama to be admired at sunrise or sunset.

The best times to go for a walk are before sunrise or sunset. The whole panorama is very picturesque when the sun hits the top of the mountain range.

KOH PHANGAN - WELCOME PACKAGE

AVAILABLE FROM MONDAY 1ST JANUARY 2024 TO WEDNESDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2025

Unlimited Seats

ko Pha-ngan is one of the most famous islands in the world. It is well known for the Full Moon Party held every full moon at the beach of Hat Rin. A large number of tourists from all over the world visit the island, especially in the summer. Apart from beautiful beaches and amazing blue water, you can explore the natural beauty of numerous natural attractions such as waterfalls and mountains and discover the local lifestyle of coconut farmers and fishermen in the village of Ban Chalok Lam. As the island offers visitors all types of tourist attractions, it is a must-visit destination for both Thai and foreign tourists. Ko Pha-ngan is located approximately 100 kilometres from Surat Thani City. It has a total area of 168 square kilometres. The island, together with the island of Ko Tao, is part of Ko Pha-ngan District, which is the smallest district of Surat Thani Province. The island is dominated by mountainous terrain and has beaches, sand dunes and coral reefs. In the middle of the island are mountains running north-south. Plains cover only one-fourth of the total area and are mostly found on the west side of the island. On the east side of the island lie coastal mountains. Besides, the island has several bays where boats can dock in some seasons. Furthermore, the monsoon season of the island begins in October and lasts till January. Tourists are not recommended to pay a visit to the island during this time. Ko Pha-ngan has been inhabited by human for a long time. It is assumed that the first settlers on the island are the Malays from Nakhon Si Thammarat or from Pattani who immigrated to the island and were mostly fishermen. The evidence of this assumption is the names of some places on the island. For example, according to a former Ko Samii District Chief Officer, Ko Pha-ngan was formerly known as "Ko Raham", literally meaning the shadowy island. In addition, the names of some other nearby islands such as Ko Wua Ta Lap and Ko Lao Yu are originally from the Malay language. Furthermore, there is another story of the origin of Ko Pha-ngan's name. It is believed that the name is derived from "Lang Ngan", a local word used to refer to sand dunes that emerge from the sea when the tide is low. Moreover, the first syllable of the word Pha-ngan in Thai was originally spelt without Sara-Ah, the short Ah vowel. However, after when Ko Pha-ngan was made a minor district or King Amphoe in 1970 and later a district in 1977, the Thai government decided to officially include Sara-Ah within the name. As a consequence, the island's Thai name has two variations, i.e. one with Sara-Ah and one without Sara-Ah. Furthermore, the island was visited by four kings of the Chakri Dynasty, namely King Chulalongkorn, King Vajiravudh, King Prajadhipok and King Bhumibol. All inscribed their name on a rock near Than Sadet Waterfall, to which, interestingly, King Chulalongkorn paid a visit 14 times. Aside from the famous Full Moon Party, the island has a good reputation for snorkelling and diving. Visitors can go snorkelling to explore the natural beauty of coral reefs around the island. As an alternative, you can get on a boat which will take you to amazing dive sites near the island. The most popular sites are "Hin Bai" and "Samran", where different kinds of colourful corals lie, waiting for divers to discover its beauty. Also, these sites are home to a variety of fascinating sea animals, e.g. clownfish, harlequin shrimps and parrotfish. Besides, a one day trip to Ko Tao, which also possesses several perfect dive sites, is available. Ko Pha-ngan's major attractions: 1.Thong Sala 2.Hat Rin 3.Ao Thong Nai Pan 4.Hat Mae Hat 5.Than Sadet Waterfall National Park How to get to the island: From Surat Thani City, drive or take public transport to a ferry pier in Don Sak. A ferry ride from the mainland to the island takes three hours and a half. In addition, during peak season (December-April), those who wish to visit the island are recommended to book a flight at least one to two days before travelling. Tips for tourists: 1.You are not recommended to rent a motorbike if you are not familiar with roads on the island. Some roads are steep and some are unpaved with holes. Riders should ride carefully; otherwise it is better to rent other types of vehicles. 2.At the Full Moon Party, beware of pickpockets and snatchers. There will be lots of people at the party so take care of your belongings, especially, cameras, phones and purses or wallets. Besides, don't drink too much, particularly if you have to ride a motorbike or drive back to your hotel. 3.For those who would like to visit Khao Ra Peak, be ready for the adventure and don't forget to prepare your own medicines, food, bottles of water, sleeping bag and proper clothes. Also, to go to Khao Ra, all visitors must be accompanied by staff.
