Day 1
BANGKOK - HUA HIN Maekhlong Railway Market, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Khao Wang Historical Park, Wat Khao Takiab (L.)
Breakfast at hotel
Meeting with the guide and start of the tour. The first stop will be the colorful market of Maekhlong, crossed by the tracks of a secondary railway line. Here we will witness the spectacular passage of the small train, which slowly immerses itself in this active and the swarming market, while the agile sellers move the goods just enough to be able to pass the convoy, and then resume shortly after all the activities as if nothing was! Continue to the nearby floating market. Arrival at the pier and with a long tail boat in about 30 minutes of route between the canals. Damnoen Saduak floating market in Ratchaburi is one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand. Every day many Thai and foreign tourists come here to shop, eat and absorb the atmosphere of Thailand's water markets built over a hundred years ago.
Damnoen Saduak is the straightest and longest canal in Thailand. The canal was built on a royal initiative since King Rama IV of Thailand wanted to connect the Mae Klong river with the Chinese river ways to support transport and trade. It took more than two years to dig, and was eventually completed under the reign of his successor King Rama V. The canal is 32 kilometers long and has more than 200 branches.
The popularity of Damnoen Saduak's floating market grew to new heights in 1971 - 1973, when the river was full of peasants on their boats selling their goods. And that's the way trade is done in this area to this day. Lunch in a local restaurant. We continue in the direction of the city of Petchaburi where we visit temples and palaces in the Khao Wang Historical Park, located on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Petchaburi. We will reach the top via the comfortable elevators. At the end of the visit, continue south. Arrival at the famous seaside resort of Hua Hin and visit of the Wat Khao Takiab Temple, on the top of the promontory overlooking the sea and the countryside of Hua Hin, with the monkey community that populates this area ...
