Day 1

DAY 1 - CHIANG RAI – Arrival, Golden Triangle, Opium Museum – Mekong River Boat Ride, Choui Fong Tea Plantation. (L.)

Arrival at Chiang Rai airport by 10:00, greeted by the local guide.
Today, we begin the exploration of this northernmost province of Thailand, starting with the famous Golden Triangle, where the borders of Myanmar (former Burma), Thailand, and Laos meet. Located 9 kilometers north of Chiang Saen, along the Mekong River, Sop Ruak is the place where the Mekong River (border with Laos) meets the Ruak River (border with Myanmar). In the past, the Golden Triangle was the world’s primary source of drug trafficking due to its strategic location, connected to opium-producing countries. Today, it is a renowned tourist attraction.
The visit includes Wat Phra That Pu Khao, which offers a stunning view of the Golden Triangle, the Mekong River, and the forested mountains. Two large multi-headed Naga serpents at the base of the stairs protect the temple.
We then proceed to the Opium Museum, which educates visitors about the production of opium and its use in the lives of the hill tribes. From the visit, we can learn much about the history of opium, dating back to when it first developed in this infamous region.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, departing from Sop Ruak, in the heart of the famous Golden Triangle, we embark on a short but fascinating cruise along the Mekong River, offering the unique opportunity to witness the meeting of three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
Aboard a typical long-tail boat, we navigate one of Asia’s most legendary rivers, surrounded by lush hills, temples along the riverbanks, and glimpses of rural life. During the cruise, we can observe local villages, plantations, and small floating markets, experiencing the slow and authentic rhythm of the river for a few hours.
A relaxing and scenic experience that allows you to touch the historical and geographical charm of the Golden Triangle, an ancient crossroads of cultures, trade, and legends.

The Choui Fong Tea Plantation is located in the beautiful province of Chiang Rai and is one of the main agricultural attractions of the region. This plantation is famous for producing tea, particularly green tea and white tea, grown sustainably on the surrounding hills. The cool climate and elevated location make this plantation ideal for producing high-quality tea.
Visitors can explore the tea fields, walk through the lush plantations, and learn the techniques of tea picking and processing. The plantation also offers a unique sensory experience, where you can taste various types of tea and discover the process that transforms fresh leaves into aromatic infusions.
With its breathtaking landscape and peaceful atmosphere, the Choui Fong Tea Plantation is the perfect place for those seeking an authentic and immersive experience in the nature of Chiang Rai.

Day 2

CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI, Tempio Blue, Tempio Bianco, Wat Pratat Doi Suthep. (B.L.)

Alle 07:00, incontro con la guida, visita del famoso Tempio Blue, o Wat Rong Seua Ten posizionato a pochi chilometri da Chiang Rai. È un tempio recente che è ancora in costruzione, anche se la sua sala principale è ora completata. È soprattutto il suo magnifico interno blu con un grande Buddha bianco che segna gli spiriti.

Il Tempio Blu di Chiang Rai per ora è ancora poco conosciuto tra i turisti, perché è stato completato molto recentemente.

Quindi inizieremo il percorso che ci porta a Chiang Mai, durante il quale non potrà mancare la visita al Tempio bianco o Wat Rong Khun. Uno dei numerosi luoghi religiosi di Chiang Rai. Arrivati a Chiang Mai, completiamo la giornata dedicata ai templi con il più famoso di Chiang Mai, il Wat Pratat Doi Suthep, situato su una montagna dall’alto della quale si gode di una vista panoramica sulla zona collinare di Chiang Mai.

Costruito nei primi anni del 19 ° secolo buddhista (ora siamo al 26°), la bellezza del Wat Phra That Doi Suthep è segnata da statue di serpenti a sette teste che fiancheggiano le scale verso il tempio dove si trova una pagoda dorata in stile Chiang Saen e tutta la sua squisita architettura Lanna. La vista di Chiang Mai da qui è semplicemente fenomenale.

Day 3

CHIANG MAI – Santuario Degli Elefanti. GIORNATA DI GRUPPO IN INGLESE (B.L.)

Oggi ci aspetta una bellissima giornata ad un santuario degli elefanti, per conoscere meglio questo Pachidermi, una visita di mezza giornata che offre ai visitatori un'esperienza piacevole con l'opportunità di trascorrere del tempo con gli elefanti nel loro ambiente naturale, e avere una panoramica sulla loro storia e sul loro comportamento, creando così piacevoli ricordi per il loro tempo trascorso con questi meravigliosi animali. che vi accompagneranno per tutta la vita

ITINERARIO APPROSSIMATIVO

06:30-07:00 Pick up nel vostro hotel o alloggio a cura del Santuario degli Elefanti.

Si guida per circa 1,5 ore a sud di Chiang Mai attraverso dolci colline, foreste e aree agricole locali.

08:30 Arrivo al Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Scoprite gli elefanti e cambiatevi con i vestiti tradizionali Karen.

09:00 Incontro con gli elefanti. Nutriscili, interagisci e gioca con gli elefanti in un ambiente naturale mentre impari il loro comportamento e la loro storia. Scatta foto con gli elefanti.

09:45 Fango Spa con gli elefanti

10:30 Cammina con gli elefanti sul fiume e lavali.

11:30 Pranzo con un pasto tradizionale e poi saluto agli elefanti.

12:00 Si lascia l'Elephant Jungle Sanctuary e si guida per circa 1,5 ore fino a Chiang Mai.

13:30 Rientro in Hotel.

GIORNO 4 - CHIANG MAI. TRASFERIMENTO. Colazione

Prima colazione in hotel. Camera a disposizione fino alle 12:00. Due ore prima del volo, incontro con il nostro autista e trasferimento all’aeroporto di Chiang Mai.
