Day 1
CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI Blue Temple, White Temple, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (L.) – 250 Km
At 07:00 AM, meet your guide and visit the famous Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Seua Ten, located just a few kilometers from Chiang Rai. It is a relatively new temple still under construction, although its main hall is now complete. Its striking blue interior and large white Buddha leave a lasting impression.
The Blue Temple of Chiang Rai remains relatively unknown among tourists as it was only recently completed.
We then begin our journey to Chiang Mai, with a must-see stop at the White Temple, or Wat Rong Khun, one of Chiang Rai’s most iconic religious landmarks. Noted for its exceptional artistic quality and highly intricate architecture, the assembly hall of Wat Rong Khun is unlike any other temple, with both carved gables and tooth-shaped ridges. The building is constructed primarily in pure white, symbolizing the purity of the Buddha. Sparkling glass inlays represent the wisdom of the Enlightened One shining upon the world and the universe.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant along the way.
Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, we conclude the temple-themed day with the city’s most renowned temple: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched on a mountain with panoramic views of the Chiang Mai valley.
Built in the early 19th Buddhist century (we are now in the 26th), Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed Naga (serpent) statues flanking the staircase to the golden Chiang Saen-style chedi and exquisite Lanna architecture. The view of Chiang Mai from here is simply breathtaking.
In the evening, transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai

Why Thai Akha?
Why cooking with Us?
The Akha people immigrated and became citizens of Thailand in the early 1900s through China, Laos and Myanmar.
There are now 80,000 Akha people living in small villages in the mountains of Thailand. Akha people have their own traditions, culture and beliefs, different from the rest of Thailand, as many hill tribes do.
Thai Akha Kitchen is run by Akha people who were born and raised in Thailand.
We love Thai food just as much as you
