DAY 2 21 NOV -

- BANG PA IN, AYUTTHAYA, CRUISE WITH LUNCH – Full Day (B.L.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with the Italian guide and depart to discover the ancient capital of Thailand. The first visit is to Bang Pa In, reached by a short journey of about 60 kilometers north of Bangkok, along the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Bang Pa In is one of the summer palaces of the Thai Royal Family, dating back to the seventeenth century, before the establishment of Bangkok as the capital. Subsequently falling into disuse for a long period, all the buildings you will visit date back to its rebirth, made possible by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in the nineteenth century. Today, the palace is rarely used, mainly for state ceremonies, and not as a royal summer residence. We continue with the Ayutthaya Historical Park, the city founded around 1350, becoming the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It flourished from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century, becoming one of the world's largest and most cosmopolitan urban areas and a center of global diplomacy and trade. Ayutthaya was strategically located on an island surrounded by three rivers connecting the city to the sea. This site was chosen because it was above the tide of the Gulf of Siam as it existed at that time, preventing the city from being attacked by maritime warships of other nations. The city was attacked and razed to the ground by the Burmese army in 1767, forcing the inhabitants to abandon it. It was never rebuilt in the same location and today is a vast archaeological site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. After the temple visits, a beautiful cruise awaits us with lunch served on board. With the vehicle, we return to Bangkok to the Wat Chong-Lom pier (Nonthaburi), where you will be welcomed on board the Grand Pearl Cruise Line. Here, a sumptuous buffet lunch with a variety of Eastern and Western cuisines will be served while you relax, enjoying the fascinating scenery along the river of kings. The boat will then head towards Nonthaburi, passing the island of Koh Kred, where a dense Mon community lives, before reaching the city of Bangkok. Coffee will be served on board as you enjoy the lovely views along the riverbanks, such as the colorful Royal Barge House, Thammasart University, Sirirat Hospital, the Royal Grand Palace, and the graceful Temple of the Dawn, with its magnificent spire of 79 meters, next to Wat Kallayanamitr, one of the city's most famous temples. Around 16:00, arrival and disembarkation at the River City commercial complex pier. Transfer to the hotel by air-conditioned vehicle.

Day 3

DAY 3  22 NOV - BANGKOK - Maeklong Railway, Damnoen Saduak, Lunch, Royal Palace, Wat Pho (B.L.)

Breakfast at the hotel. At 06:30-07:00, meet your guide and embark on a day of exploring some of the main attractions of this metropolis and its surroundings. We head to the nearby provinces of Song Khram and Ratchaburi, approximately 100 km from Bangkok. We begin with the Maeklong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market), commonly known as the Siang Tai market (life-threatening). Considered one of Thailand's fantastic attractions, this market spans 100 meters and is located on the railway near the Mae Klong train station. We then proceed to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, arriving at the pier. With a long-tail boat journey of about 30 minutes through the canals, we reach the floating market.

The Damnoen Saduak market in Ratchaburi is one of Thailand's most popular floating markets. Every day, many Thai and foreign tourists come here to shop, eat, and absorb the atmosphere of the water markets built over a hundred years ago. Around 11:00, depart to return to Bangkok with a stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue with the Royal Palace, founded in 1782, comprising not only royal halls and a throne but also numerous government offices and the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It covers an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by four walls, 1900 meters in length. Then, visit the adjacent Wat Pho, which is not only one of Bangkok's most visited Buddhist temples but also a combination of history, medical science, and a school. Wat Pho was founded in the 16th century and later became the Royal Temple of King Rama I of the Chakri dynasty. In 2008, Wat Pho was named a UNESCO Memory of the World (MOW) for documentary heritage in Asia and the Pacific region.

Return to the hotel is expected between 17:00-17:30.

IMPORTANT: • Please dress appropriately, covering shoulders and knees. • Please bring your passport, often required for entrance checks.

Day 4

DAY 4 23 NOV - BANGKOK – TRANSFER TO AIRPORT – Driver Only (B.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Three hours before the flight, meet the driver in the hotel lobby. Transfer to the airport.

CHIANG RAI – Arrival, Golden Triangle, Opium Museum – Mekong River Boat Ride, Choui Fong Tea Plantation. (L.)

Arrival at Chiang Rai airport by 10:00, greeted by the local guide.
Today, we begin the exploration of this northernmost province of Thailand, starting with the famous Golden Triangle, where the borders of Myanmar (former Burma), Thailand, and Laos meet. Located 9 kilometers north of Chiang Saen, along the Mekong River, Sop Ruak is the place where the Mekong River (border with Laos) meets the Ruak River (border with Myanmar). In the past, the Golden Triangle was the world’s primary source of drug trafficking due to its strategic location, connected to opium-producing countries. Today, it is a renowned tourist attraction.
The visit includes Wat Phra That Pu Khao, which offers a stunning view of the Golden Triangle, the Mekong River, and the forested mountains. Two large multi-headed Naga serpents at the base of the stairs protect the temple.
We then proceed to the Opium Museum, which educates visitors about the production of opium and its use in the lives of the hill tribes. From the visit, we can learn much about the history of opium, dating back to when it first developed in this infamous region.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, departing from Sop Ruak, in the heart of the famous Golden Triangle, we embark on a short but fascinating cruise along the Mekong River, offering the unique opportunity to witness the meeting of three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
Aboard a typical long-tail boat, we navigate one of Asia’s most legendary rivers, surrounded by lush hills, temples along the riverbanks, and glimpses of rural life. During the cruise, we can observe local villages, plantations, and small floating markets, experiencing the slow and authentic rhythm of the river for a few hours.
A relaxing and scenic experience that allows you to touch the historical and geographical charm of the Golden Triangle, an ancient crossroads of cultures, trade, and legends.

The Choui Fong Tea Plantation is located in the beautiful province of Chiang Rai and is one of the main agricultural attractions of the region. This plantation is famous for producing tea, particularly green tea and white tea, grown sustainably on the surrounding hills. The cool climate and elevated location make this plantation ideal for producing high-quality tea.
Visitors can explore the tea fields, walk through the lush plantations, and learn the techniques of tea picking and processing. The plantation also offers a unique sensory experience, where you can taste various types of tea and discover the process that transforms fresh leaves into aromatic infusions.
With its breathtaking landscape and peaceful atmosphere, the Choui Fong Tea Plantation is the perfect place for those seeking an authentic and immersive experience in the nature of Chiang Rai.

At the end of the visits, transfer to the selected hotel and check-in.
Overnight at the hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 5

DAY 5 24 NOV - CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI, Blue Temple, White Temple, Wat Pratat Doi Suthep. (B.L.) At 07:00, meet with the guide and visit the famous Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Seua Ten, located a few kilometers from Chiang Rai. It is a recent temple still under construction, although its main hall is now complete. Its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha is particularly striking. The Blue Temple of Chiang Rai is still relatively unknown among tourists as it was completed very recently. Then we will start the journey to Chiang Mai, during which we will visit the White Temple or Wat Rong Khun. One of the numerous religious sites in Chiang Rai. With exceptional quality in art and extremely elaborate architecture, the consecrated assembly hall of Wat Rong Khun is different from any other temple in terms of both the sculpted gables and the tooth-shaped crests. The hall itself is mostly constructed in pure white, illustrative of the Buddha's purity. The glittering clear mirror glass serves as the wisdom of the Enlightened One shining upon the earth and the universe. Lunch is served at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, we will complete the day dedicated to temples with the most famous one in Chiang Mai, Wat Pratat Doi Suthep, located on a mountain offering panoramic views of the hilly area of Chiang Mai. Built in the early 19th century Buddhist era (we are now in the 26th), the beauty of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed Naga statues flanking the steps to the temple, where a golden pagoda in Chiang Saen style and exquisite Lanna architecture are found. The view of Chiang Mai from here is simply phenomenal. In the evening, transfer to the hotel and check into reserved rooms. Overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day 6

It’s a spiritual event where many types of lanterns are displayed in front of homes to show devotion to the Buddha—including sky lanterns to honor celestial beings.

The highlight of the festival is the release of sky lanterns. It’s believed that they carry away misfortune, paving the way for good luck and a bright future. During the Yi Peng Festival, candles light up Chiang Mai’s old town, creating a magical and serene atmosphere.
